SARDAR@150 Unity March held at Bishnupur, Kangpokpi

Bishnupur/Kangpokpi, November 10 2025:
Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Manipur Maharaja Leishemba Sanajaoba, along with Deputy Commissioner of Bishnupur, Pooja Elangbam, today flagged off the Sardar@150 Unity March for Bishnupur Block from Kiyamba Sanglen, Bishnupur.
The Unity March, organised under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports by the District Administration Bishnupur, with assistance from My Bharat, Bishnupur and the NSS Cell, Manipur, witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, My Bharat volunteers, and members of the Bharat Scouts & Guides.
In her address, DC Pooja Elangbam lauded the participants and encouraged them to take part in nationbuilding activities.
Highlighting the contributions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in uniting the nation, she urged everyone to draw inspiration from such leaders and work collectively towards building a better and more developed India.
"As citizens, we all have roles and responsibilities to fulfil for the nation's progress.
This Unity March reminds us that we are all children of one nation and must strive for its good," she added.
Speaking as the chief guest, MP Maharaja Leishemba Sanajaoba emphasised the significance of organising Unity Marches across the country to honour Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's legacy and to strengthen the spirit of nationalism.
He urged the youth to cultivate patriotism, civic responsibility, and self-reliance.
Let us work towards building an Atmanirbhar Bharat by promoting good habits and contributing our best to the nation's development, he added.
On the occasion, the MP also administered the Atmanirbhar Bharat Pledge.
The event was attended by SP Bishnupur Th Shanker Deva, State Director, Mera Yuva Bharat Manipur L Marjit Singh, and other district-level officers and officials.
Meanwhile, in Kangpokpi, the Sardar@150 Unity March was held today at the district headquarters, marking the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhai Patel, the architect of national integration.
The Unity March was jointly organized by BJP Kangpokpi Mandal and Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK), Kangpokpi, and witnessed an inspiring participation from students, youth, and members of various civil society organizations across the district Prominent dignitaries including Paokam Haokip, BJP State Executive Secretary; Seilam Singsit, Chairman, Kangpokpi Town Committee; Paokhomang Kipgen, Chairman, Kangpokpi Ward No 1; Lunkhoseh Kipgen, former Chairman, Kangpokpi Town Committee; and several BJP leaders and members joined the march, reaffirming their commitment to the ideals of unity and nation-building.
Adding to the spirit of youth empowerment and community development sports materials were distributed to various youth clubs across the three blocks of Kangpokpi District, encouraging active participation in the journey of national progress.
The event not only honoured the legacy of Sardar Patel but also reignited the flame of unity, strength, and patriotism - reminding every citizen of the enduring power of a united India.
