NIELIT study centre inaugurated at Thoubal

Thoubal, May 09 2025: A new Study Centre of National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT), Imphal was inaugurated today at the complex of Women Income General Centre (WIGC) located at Thoubal Wangmataba.

The Study Centre will offer a wide range of short term courses to the students under NIELIT Imphal.

The inaugural function was attended by NIELIT Imphal, Executive Director, Dr Y Jayenta, Academic Head, Dr Angom Buboo, WIGC founder secretary, Oinam Indira, The Fancier Hr Secondary School Thoubal, principal K Saratchandra and Peace & Freedom Academy Thoubal, principal Salam Jotin as presidium members.

Speaking at the event, WIGC founder secretary, Oinam Indira said that WIGC will extend every possible support from their side to make Thoubal circle an education hub.

She also lauded the Executive Director of NIELIT Imphal for his effort in bringing the Study Centre at WIGC complex.

NIELIT Executive Director, Dr Y Jayenta said that the Study Circle inaugurated today at Thoubal district will be the 4th official sub-centre after Senapati, Churachandpur and Kakching.

He also lauded WIGC for alloting the space to open the Study Circle at the complex.

The short term courses available at NIELIT Imphal will also be available at the Thoubal Study Centre, however for the long term courses that are to be pursued at NIELIT Imphal, the admission processes can be done from the Centre, said Jayenta.
