Fasting and prayer programme organised for HSLC appearing candidates in Senapati

Senapati, February 03 2026: A special fasting and prayer programme for candidates appearing in the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination was organised by the Senapati Karong Area Baptist Union (SKABU) on Tuesday.

The programme held at Rikhumai Taphou Tungjoy Baptist Church, PNBA, was organised as an annual event with the aim of spiritually preparing students to face the forthcoming examinations with confidence and without difficulty.

Speaking on the occasion, Rev K Daniel, president of SKABU, urged the youth not to look down upon themselves because of their young age, but to set an example to the believers in word, conduct, love, spirit, and purity, citing 1 Timoty 4:12.He emphasised that the message carried a responsibility for everyone to reshape their behaviour and lifestyle and to live a life aligned with Godly values.

He encouraged the candidates to be like a light in the darkness through their lives and advised them to use their time wisely by avoiding unnecessary distractions and focusing on their studies.

Others speakers included Rev S Dapunii, who spoke on "Sowing and Reaping", Rev R S Abraham on "The Choice is Yours", and Pastor Charikangbui Pamai on "Do Not Be Anxious About Anything" .

A special prayer for all the candidates was led by Rev Th Thaongaolou.

More than 500 HSLC candidates from different schools in the district headquarters attended the programme.
