Praveen highlights youth's role in uplifting society as Sansad Khel Mahotsav concludes

Imphal, August 31 2025: The 3-day Sansad Khel Mahotsav organised by the Vidya Bharati Shiksha Vikash Samiti, Manipur in association with Rajya Sabha MP Leishemba Sanajaoba at Bal Vidya Mandir, Palace Compound came to a close today.

The sporting event saw competition between students of the Bal Vidya Mandir, Palace Compound and Bal Vidya Mandir, Kongpal in various sporting event including indigenous game of Yubi Lakpi, Football, Badminton, Volleyball, High Jump, Long Jump, Tug of War, 100 m race and other fun games.

The closing function was graced by MP Leishemba Sanajaoba, Secretary Education (S) Naorem Praveen, Olympian Ksh Thoiba, Ngangbam Sonia among others as dignitaries.

Speaking at the event Naorem Praveen highlighted the important roles of youth in the nation building and upliftment of the society.

He also delved into the link between positive thinking, fitness and education for the overall development of energetic and successful youths.

He also took note of the New Education Policy and the offering it brought including new reforms, integration of sports and education etc.

The olympians present also encouraged the students to work wholeheartedly be it in Education or Sports or both, to become responsible, sensible citizens.

The winners of the various competitions were also feted at the event by the dignitaries present.
