Imphal, September 29 2025: As part of its ongoing effort to curb the abuse of drugs and alcohol, Coalition Against Drugs & Alcohol (CADA) organised an awareness programme at Poiroukhongjin Mayai Leikai, Imphal Eastdistrict today.

The awareness programme was held on the theme, "Impact of drug abuse on society and the public's role in checking the rampant use of drugs".

The programme was graced by CADA president Hijam Priyokumar, Poiroukhongjin Youth Club vice president Nameirakpam Bogen, secretary Samananda Laishram and Laishram Nabadeep Singh as presidium members.

CADA vice president Ningthoujam Doren also attended the programme as a resource person.

Meanwhile, Nongchup Imphal Ima Apunba Lup (NIMPAL) organised a training programme on "Paper bag & Kauna bag making" at Anoubam Mandap in Thouda Bhabok Leikai today.

The programme was graced by NIMPAL vice president W Dhaneshori and Keishamthong Apunba Ima Leishem Lup vice president L Juliet Devi as presidium members.

During the programme, L Ebellei gave training on 'Kauna bag' making and L Abe Devi gave training on 'Paper bag' making.

NIMPAL secretary general S Shanti Leima was also present at the event.
