Imphal, November 27 2025:
Kangleipak Students Association (KSA) celebrated its 20th Foundation Day at Laishram Khulem Leikai Community Hall, Naoremthong Laishram Leirak today.
The celebration was graced by KSA president Sukham Bidyananda, former presidents Thongam Ajitkanta, Yumnam Pradipkumar, Thangjam Premananda, Moirangthem Lakshman and Ningthoujam Chetan as presidium members.
Speaking on the occasion, Sukham Bidyananda expressed concern over the prevailing situation in the State and urged the Government to take necessary steps to resettle the internally displaced persons (IDPs) at their native places.
He called for greater transparency and stronger leadership from the Government to restore peace and normalcy in Manipur which has been burning for more than two years.
He also criticised the Government's decision to proceed with the Sangai Festival despite the continuing crisis and the unresolved plight of IDPs who are still languishing in relief camps.
"Prioritising a festival over the resettlement of IDPs is very unfortunate", said Bidyananda while urging the Government to direct their resources and attention towards the IDPs.
Furthermore, Bidyananda reaffirmed KSA's commitment towards strengthening the education sector and enhancing student welfare, promising to continue taking up significant initiatives for the academic upliftment of the youth.
As part of the event, the gathering observed two minutes of silence to pay homage to those who lost their lives in the ongoing crisis.
Representatives of different CSOs were also present at the event.
