National buyer-seller meet on NE indigenous products kicks off

Imphal, July 24 2026:
The National Buyer-Seller Meet cum Exhibition on Indigenous and Heritage Products of North East India was inaugurated today at the Banquet Hall, State Convention Centre, Shillong, Meghalaya.
The event is being organised under the aegis of the College of Community Science, Tura, Central Agricultural University, CAU, Imphal.
It aims to promote the rich indigenous and heritage products of the North Eastern Region by strengthening market linkages, fostering entrepreneurship, and providing a platform for direct interaction between producers and buyers.
Dr Mehtab Chandee A Sangma, MLA, Gambegre Constituency, attended as the chief guest and inaugurated the programme.
The inaugural session was presided over by Dr Anupam Mishra, Vice Chancellor, Central Agricultural University, Imphal.
Entrepreneurs, Self-Help Groups, artisans, farmers, officials and other stakeholders from across the North Eastern Region are participating in the three-day meet-cum-exhibition.
