Free coaching programme for JEE/NEET aspirants kicks off

In a significant step towards empowering students in the Sagolband Assembly Constituency, a free coaching programme for JEE/NEET aspirants has officially commenced.
The exclusive initiative is jointly sponsored by the Sagolband Constituency Progressive Committee (SCPC) and Nachom Edu Foundation, under the leadership of Sagolband AC MLA RK Imo Singh.
As per a release issued by the office of the Sagolband AC MLA, the programme aims to support 20 to 25 deserving students, including 5 seats reserved for aspirants from Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), providing them with quality coaching to pursue competitive entrance examinations.
Addressing a Parents-Teachers-Students Meet, RK Imo Singh stated that the initiative is in line with the spirit of the scheme "MLA Ana Layengi Tengbang", which has been successfully implemented since 2022.Under this scheme financial assistance of 20,000 has been provided to patients suffering from cancer, kidney, and heart-related ailments in Sagolband.
To date, over 300 beneficiaries have been supported under this scheme, reaffirming the MLA's commitment to health and welfare at the grassroots level.
Recognising the challenges in the education sector during these difficult times, the MLA emphasized that the goal is not just to celebrate success, but to guide and uplift aspirants throughout their journey.
He also expressed happiness over the inclusion of students from IDPs and lauded their zeal to move forward despite adversities.
In a thoughtful gesture, the rental expenses for a few selected IDP students will be borne by the SCPC, thereby easing their burden and ensuring uninterrupted focus on their preparation.
The MLA also reiterated his resolve that no deserving student should be left behind due to circumstances beyond their control, reflecting a people-first approach in policy making and implementation.
Furthermore, RK Imo urged the teachers involved to give their best in shaping the future of these young minds and motivated the students to strive hard, stay focused, and shine bright.
