KSSL, KEMKAL, AKMCCC condemn brutal killing of women, children

The Khungang Shemgat Shagatpa (KSSL), Lamjao, Kege Moirang Kendra Apunba Lup (KEMKAL), Moirang and All Keirao Makting Club Coordinating Committee (AKMCCC) have strongly condemned the inhumane killing of six innocent women and children at Jiribam.
Meira Paibis, local clubs and various organisations of Lamjao yesterday convened a meeting condemning the recent killings by Kuki militants at Jiribam.
In a release, KSSL has lamented the Government of India for its negligence in controlling the violence in the State.
The Indian Government should be held responsible for the present conflict in the State and the recent killing of six civilians, said KSSL.
KSSL further demanded the Central Government to take necessary steps to bring an end to the present conflict.
A two minute silence was also observed for the departed souls to rest in peace in heavenly abode.
Meanwhile, in a statement KEMKAL has vehemently condemned the recent series of attack by Kuki militants in Jiribam including killing of six civilians including an infant.
The Lup further demanded the Government to repeal AFSPA which was recently re-implemented in the areas of six police stations and also to punish the perpetrators involved in the gruesome killing of six civilians.
Further, the Government should provide adequate security to let farmers harvest their crops without any fear, added KEMKAL.
Additionally, AKMCCC has also condemned the killing of six civilians by Kuki militants.
AKMCCC in release demanded the Government to book the perpetrators involved in the gruesome killing of civilians and urged the Government to repeal the AFSPA, 1958 immediately.
