MSCW launches Poshan Maah 2025

Manipur State Commission for Women (MSCW) on Thursday launched the "Poshan Maah 2025" with an aim to generate awareness, promote nutritional status and explore the creative instinct of the masses.
The "Poshan Maash 2025" was formally launched at the office chamber of the Chairperson, MSCW, following the directive of the Ministry of Women & Child, Government of India, Th Tiningpham Monsang, Chairperson, MSCW, members, member secretary and staff of the commission were present at the event.
As per a release issued by MSCW, the theme for this year's Poshan Maah focuses on Addressing obesityreducing consumption of sugar, salt & oil; Early Childhood Care & Education (ECCE)/Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi; Environmental initiative-"Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam"; Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) practices; and Men-streaming (involving men as active stakeholders in nutrition and caregiving.
At the event, Th Tiningpham said that Rashtriya Poshan Maah is a nation-wide campaign that promotes nutrition awareness and is celebrated in September every year.
She continued that the campaign is held mainly to improve nutritional status of children, adolescent girls, pregnant women, and lactating mothers in a time bound manner using a collaborative and result oriented approach.
She also mentioned that human life is very precious and one should take care of one's own health.
"Humans do make mistakes but the ultimate goal is to rectify it at the earliest", added the Chairperson.
