Imphal, July 17 2025:
The Central Executive Council (CEC) of the Tribal Youth Council Manipur (TYCM), General Headquarters has adopted a resolution to carry out a Village Level Voluntary Survey (VLVS) across all tribal villages in Manipur to identify whether Government infrastructure and development programmes are lacking in these regions.
According to a press release issued by the Media & Information Department, TYCM-GHQ, the resolution was adopted during a CEC emergency meeting held today.
The date of commencement of the VLVS will be decided and notified by the CEC in due course.
As this initiative aims to gather accurate information on the actual status of development in these tribal villages, the VLVS will cover key sectors related to 30 departments of the Government of Manipur.
According to the statement, the survey will be carried out through a prescribed format, which will be authenticated by the Village Headman, Chairman, Khunbu, Pei or Chief of the respective tribal villages and submitted to the TYCM Office, Imphal, or to the District VLVS Co-ordinator concerned.
TYCM will compile and submit the collected survey data to the Government, and officially place it on record for necessary consideration and action, in order to address and undertake the required development in the respective tribal villages.
TYCM has appealed to all leaders and Village Authorities of the respective tribal villages, as well as tribal CSOs, to extend full cooperation for the smooth, effective, and successful conduct of the survey.
