FLNAT conducted across 31 centres in Kakching

Kakching, March 15 2026:
As part of the nationwide Foundational Literacy and Numeracy Assessment Test (FLNAT), the State Literacy Mission Authority in collaboration with the ZEO/District Literacy Mission Authority, Kakching, conducted the assessment test across 31 centres in the district.
The FLNAT is a nationwide assessment in India, conducted under the ULLAS - Nav Bharat Saksharta Karyakram for non-literate learners aged 15 and above.
It evaluates basic reading, writing, and numeracy skills in regional languages, with successful learners receiving a certification from the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS).
During an inspection visit to one of the centres, ZEO Kakching, M Rakesh stated that the objective of the ULLAS mission is to make non-literate learners aged above 15 years in Kakching district literate.
He informed that around 5,677 adult learners are currently enrolled in the district under the mission, which aims to achieve 100 per cent literacy among learners.
He also expressed gratitude to the Village Level Federations (VLFs) under the Manipur State Rural Livelihoods Mission and the Self Help Groups (SHGs) of the district for their support in conducting surveys and playing a significant role in imparting learning as part of the initiative.
The inspection visit was also accompanied by Director of Adult Education, Konthoujam Dorendro; ZEO Kakching, Mayanglabam Rakesh; Coordinator Elangbam Premila, Pradhan of Keirak GP, Elangbam Shanti Leima, along with other officials and staff.
