At Headquarters Directorate General Assam Rifles (DGAR), the participants engaged in a thoughtful interaction with fhe Director General Assam Rifles.
The dialogue centered on pressing developmental needs in remote regions, including the enhancement of road connectivity, educational infrastructure, and healthcare services.
The DGAR commended the initiative and reiterated Assam Rifles' steadfast commitment to inclusive growth and peace building across the Northeast.
The visit also included explorations of Shillong's cultural and historical landmarks, offering participants a deeper appreciation of the region's heritage and its role in India's pluralistic identity.
The first leg of the tour marks a powerful beginning to a journey that will continue through Kolkata and culminate in Delhi, where the group is scheduled to meet dignitaries including the President of India.
