RIMS campus cleaned, trees planted to mark Van Mahotsav

Imphal, July 13 2025:
As part of the Nation-wide celebration of Van Mahotsav 2025, a tree plantation programme was held today at PG Gents Hostel No 3 and PG Gents Hostel No 4 (New Building), Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, under the theme, "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0" .
The programme was organised by RIMS in association with the Rotary Club Imphal.
Additionally, a cleanliness drive was also carried out covering the stretch from Gate No 2 to the opposite side of the Officers' Club through Gate No 1, and from the Main Gate up to the Mortuary Gate via the northern side of Jubilee Hall.
As per a release issued by RIMS, the drive aimed to promote cleanliness, awareness, and environmental responsibility within the campus.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof G Sunil Kumar Sharma, Director, RIMS, Imphal, highlighted the importance of Van Mahotsav as a "celebration of our bond with nature and a reminder of our duty to protect it" .
He appreciated the RIMS community's leadership and thanked the Rotary Club Imphal for their active participation in the initiative.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the Medical Superintendent of RIMS Hospital, Imphal; Deputy Director (Admn); Dean (Academics); Principals of the Dental College and the College of Nursing; Heads of Departments; Chief Account Officer cum Financial Advisor, students, members of Rotary Club Imphal and staff of CRED & MSS, RIMS, Imphal The successful observation of Van Mahotsav 2025 at RIMS underscored the institute's proactive role in promoting environmental consciousness and civic responsibility among its community members.
