Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan concludes

The Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan concluded on Thursday with a significant visit by Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare, to Gujarat.
As per a release issued by ICAR-KVK Imphal West, the 15-day programme, running from May 29 to June 12, 2025, was launched with the aim of addressing farmers' concern, promoting direct engagement between farmers and agricultural scientists, and accelerating the adoption of modem farming technologies across the country.
During his visit, Chouhan was accompanied by Dr M L Jat, Secretary (DARE) and Director General (ICAR), as well as senior officials and leading agricultural scientists.
The primary objective of this initiative was to bring together scientific expertise and fanners' knowledge in order to improve agricultural practices and productivity.
The programme provided a platform for open discussions, helping farmers understand how they can integrate advanced agricultural techniques into their daily practices to boost yields and ensure sustainable fanning.
A key highlight of the concluding event was the participation of Team Manipur, led by Dr Ch Basudha Devi, State Nodal Officer.
Over the course of the 15 days, the team attended various programmes organised by KVKs in different districts.
The outreach extended to more than 750 villages, engaging over 70,000 farmers in Manipur, providing them with valuable insights into progressive agricultural practices and technologies.
The comprehensive initiative has made a lasting impact, ensuring that farmers across the state of Manipur are better equipped to face challenges and adopt innovative agricultural methods for a prosperous future.
