District-level DISHA Committee meeting begins for Bishnupur

Bishnupur, July 11 2025:
A two-day District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting for Bishnupur district commenced today at the Conference Hall of the Mini Secretariat, Bishnupur.
The meeting was organized by the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), Bishnupur.
The meeting was chaired by Dr Angomcha Bimol Akoijam, Member of Parliament for Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency and Chairperson of the DISHA Committee.
The first day witnessed active participation from multiple departments including Health, Education, Agriculture, Housing and Urban Affairs, Drinking Water and Sanitation, Water Resources, and Rural Development.
Officials presented detailed progress reports and PowerPoint presentations on Centrally sponsored schemes such as MGNREGA, DAY-NRLM, DDU-GKY, RSETI, PMGSY, NSAP, and PMAY-G, covering the period since the last DISHA meeting held on March 21, 2025 .
In his address, Dr Angomcha Bimol Akoijam emphasized the importance of strengthening key sectors - Health, Education, Infrastructure, Electricity, and Water - as foundational pillars for development of a society.
He called upon all officers to work sincerely and responsibly, noting that collective small efforts would lead to significant positive change in the society.
Dr Angomcha Bimol Akoijam emphasized the importance of sincerity and dedication at every level of administration, stating that even small, consistent efforts by individual officers can collectively lead to meaningful and lasting improvements in society.
He appealed to all officers to perform their duties to the best of their abilities, to fully understand their responsibilities, and to contribute well towards making the state a better place.
Dr Angomcha Bimol Akoijam reviewed departmental progress and engaged in deliberations on ongoing challenges.
Officers shared issues faced on-ground level during the implementation, to which the MP assured assistance and support within his capacity.
Deputy Commissioner Pooja Elangbam expressed gratitude to the MP for his leadership and guidance.
She highlighted various initiatives undertaken by the District Administration including extensive field visits to assess implementation of the schemes.
The DC also reiterated her commitment to transparency, accountability, and timely execution of schemes in alignment with the DISHA framework.
The meeting was also attended by MLA Oinam AC Irengbam Nalini, constituency representatives, DISHA committee nominees, and District Level Officers.
