Felicitation ceremony held

Imphal, May 10 2025: A felicitation ceremony for meritorious students and boxers who represented India at the Asian Boxing Championship, Jordan was held today at the residence of Lamlai AC MLA Kh Ibomcha in Nongada.

The ceremony organised by the BJP Lamlai Mandal was graced by dignitaries, including BJP Lamlai Mandal president, L Shyam; Tellou Chana Seijang ZP Member, A Jamini; Sawombung ZP Member, Y Ibohal; Nongren Chingnungkhok GP Pradhan, N Bilashini; Takhel GP Pradhan, N Ningthem; Tellou Chana Seijang GP Pradhan, W Herojit; and Sawombung GP pradhan, N Dhanashore.

During the ceremony, medallist of the Asian Boxing Championship namely Milky Meinam Chanu of Thamnapokpi Awang Leikai (gold medal in the Under 15, 49 Kg Category) and Sarangthem Linthoi Chanu of Thamnapokpi Mayai Leikai (bronze medal in the Under 15, 49 Kg Category) and Lairenlakpam Ambekar of Lamlai Makha Leikai (bronze medal in the Under 17, 48 Kg Category); and Khumukcham Anamika Chanu of Thmnapokpi who participated in the championship in the Under 15, 46 Kg Category were felicitated.

Jenefer Thingbaijam of Sawombung Gate who secured 10th position (Arts stream) in this year's Higher Secondary Examination conducted by COHSEM was also felicitated.

Kh Ibomcha presented simple gifts to the achievers and encouraged them to continue working hard to bring more laurels to the State and the Nation.
