MLA Govindas inaugurates two community halls

Moirang, May 05 2025: Bishnupur Assembly Constituency MLA, Govindas Konthoujam inaugurated two community halls at Kha Potshangbam Mayai Leikai, Bishnupur district today.

The newly constructed community hall of Ibendhou Nongaleima and Shri Shri Radha-Raman Sadbhavana Mandap were constructed under the Local Area Development Fund.

The inaugural function organised by the Ibendhou Nongaleima Lai Committee and Shri Shri Radha-Raman Mandir Committee was attended by Bishnupur AC MLA, Govindas Konthoujam, Chairman Administrative Committee Nachou Gram Panchayat, N Jadu Singh, Ex Zilla Parishad Member Nachou Zilla Parishad, Th Dilip Meitei, Convenor of Ibendhou Nongaleima Lai Committee, A Chaoba Singh, President Shri Shri Radha-Raman Mandir Committee, M Tomba Singh along with village elders and social workers as presidium members.

Speaking at the event, MLA Govindas stated that development is a gradual and continuous process that never stops.

Even though he has been elected for numerous terms as people representative, he could not fully fulfil the wishes of the people and the villages.

However, to fulfill the needs of the people to some extent, the two community halls were inaugurated and handed to the people today.

He also urged the people to protect and preserve the public properties built by the Government or any other social workers as their own property with a sense of belonging for positive development.

As part of the event, tree saplings were planted in the premises of the two community halls and those who played a crucial role in the construction of the two community halls were honoured by presenting simple gifts for their contribution.
