MLA inaugurates Mandop at Kwakeithel, distributes pension & health cards

On the occasion of Janmashtami, Sagolband AC MLA RK Imo Singh inaugurated a newly constructed Mandop (Hall) at Kwakeithel Thounaojam Leikai.
The Mandop, built at an estimated cost of Rs 29 lakh under Local Area Development Fund, was inaugurated in the presence of elders and locality members.
Speaking on the occasion, RK Imo Singh said community infrastructure has been a key focus of his development initiatives, with similar Mandops earlier constructed at Amudon, Salam Leikai and Thangjam Leirak.
Recalling Sagolband's development journey, he said when he first contested, Mayaikoibi lacked even a community hall and water pipeline, which were addressed in his first term along with street lighting.
In his second term, a G+1 Club building was constructed and in his third term, a Meira Shang is under construction on request of women residents.
He listed works in Ward No 10 including community halls at Kwakeithel Akham Leikai Nganu Lampak, LDA Club and Hall at Hourakchambi, hall extension at Leimakhujam Leikai with Water ATM, retaining walls at Thiyam Leikai pond, Mandir and Maiba Maibi Loishang, Kuraomakhong Club-cum-Hall, Thingom Leikai Club, Nepra Menjor Club, development of Sayang Pukhri with park and open gym, and ground fencing works.
Earlier on September 3, as part of people-centric service, a distribution programme for Manipur Old Age Pension cards and Raj Health Wealth cards was held at his residence.
Over 350 Old Age Pension Cards and 200 Raj Health Wealth Cards were distributed.
RK Imo said welfare must remain connected to everyday needs and eligible beneficiaries should not face difficulties in accessing benefits.
On the occasion, Eliza Maisnam, recently selected as North East in-charge, Women Wing of Narendra Modi Vichar Manch, Assam, was also felicitated.
