Vigilance Awareness Week observed

Imphal, November 02 2025: The Vigilance Awareness Week was observed in the State under the guidance of the Chief Vigilance Commissioner, Manipur to raise public awareness against corruption and promote ethics and transparency in governance.

This year, the Vigilance Awareness Week was observed across the country from October 27 to November 2, 2025, under the nationwide theme, "Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility" .

As per a release issued by Superintendent of Police, Vigilance & Anti-Corruption, Manipur, the Vigilance Awareness Week observance commenced on October 27 with the Integrity Pledge administered by the Chief Secretary in the Conference Hall of the Manipur Secretariat.

The Integrity pledge was taken by all staff members and Senior Officers of the State Government, followed by the e-pledge.

Banners, festoons, and posters were displayed at various public places across Imphal West, Imphal East and other district headquarters in the State.

A one-day outreach programme was conducted on October 28 at Imphal International Airport in collaboration with the Airports Authority of India.

Teams led by senior officers visited various Police Stations- Porompat, Andro, Sekmai, Kakching, Nambol, Moirang, Lamphel, Lilong and Thoubal in different valley districts and conducted outreach programmes during the week.

A dedicated team was formed to display banners and distribute placards and pamphlets in the hill districts and outreach programmes were also conducted in some of these districts.

On November 1, a Cycle Rally was organised, flagged off by the Director, Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Department, Manipur from Khuman Lampak.

The rally concluded at the Office Complex of the SP, Vigilance and Anti-Corruption.

Certificates of Appreciation were presented to all participants of the rally.

Also, an interaction programme was conducted in collaboration with a registered co-operative society.

Friendly football matches were also played between Team Vigilance and other teams during the observance of the week.
