Imphal, July 29 2026: Checking of enumeration forms and relevant documents to very electors under the Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls is underway in full swing, said District Election Officer, Imphal West, Mayanglambam Rajkumar today.

The DEO made this statement during a meeting held at the DC Imphal West conference hall, attended by members of political parties, local clubs.

The SIR exercise is not over by simply submitting the enumeration forms.

Electors should check if their names are included in the draft electoral rolls and provide maximum cooperation with the EROs and BLOs in every stage of the verification processes, Rajkumar said.

While the details of around 3,73,000 electors are being checked thoroughly, electors should check if any of their details are missing or wrong in the draft electoral rolls.

Electors should consult their respective BLOs to raise an appeal or make a claim by August 4 to make necessary changes and corrections, it said.

The DEO also stated the office is also looking into the case of internally displaced persons and taking every effort to settle their claim.

The final electoral roll is expected to be published on September 6 .
