As part of the programme, school students shared testimonials on menstrual health challenges.
Sanitary pads were also distributed to girl students.
Speaking on the occasion, Sheikh Abdul Hakim said the observance was crucial as many girls face difficulties during menarche.
"Parents must guide daughters through this phase and teach them hygienic practices.
Teachers too should create awareness in schools", he said, urging the Health Department to ensure regular supply of sanitary pads in coordination with Social Welfare.
He stressed that menstrual hygiene awareness requires collective effort from the Education, Social Welfare, and Health Departments, along with Anganwadi centres and ASHA workers, to reach every girl.
The event aimed to break taboos and promote safe menstrual practices across the State.
