Special Campaign 5.0: RIMS hosts photography exhibition

As part of the Special Campaign 5.0, the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, in association with the Manipur Photography Club and Freefly Northeast Manipur, organized a photography exhibition on the theme "Healing the Earth Begins with Seeing Its Wounds" today at the New OPD Complex, RIMS Hospital, Imphal.
As per a press release, the exhibition will be open to the public from October 28 to 30 .
The ribbon cutting ceremony held today was graced by Professor G Sunil Kumar Sharma, Director, RIMS, Imphal, who formally inaugurated the exhibition.
A total of 87 photographs were showcased in the exhibition.
The collection presents a compelling visual narrative emphasizing the importance of environmental stewardship and sustainable healthcare practices.
Through powerful imagery, the exhibition conveys the message that healing the planet begins with recognizing and addressing the visible and invisible wounds inflicted upon it.
The event was attended by Professor N Sanjib Singh, Medical Superintendent, RIMS Hospital, Imphal; Professor Y Govindaraj Singh, Nodal Officer, Swachhata Action Plan (SAP) 2025-26/ Kaya Kalp, Principal College of Nursing, HoDs, faculty members, officials from Manipur Photography and Freefly Northeast Manipur.
Speaking on the occasion, Professor G Sunil Kumar Sharma highlighted the growing concerns over global warming, pollution, and plastic waste.
He urged the public to use reusable bags, avoid harmful materials, and plant more trees to protect the environment and contribute to a clean and green future.
