Over 1000 students receive extensive health services under SNSPA

Imphal, September 25 2025:
On the ninth day of the Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan (SN SPA), Regional Institute ofMedical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, organised a comprehensive health camp at Ratankumar Memorial School, Kwakeithel Heinoukhongnembi.
As per a release issued by RIMS, around 2,000 students, both boys and girls, received treatment and benefited from the services.
A dedicated team of doctors and auxiliary staff from RIMS Hospital provided healthcare services and consultations across key specialties, including Physiology, Community Medicine, ENT, Paediatrics, and Pharmacy.
The initiative forms part of RIMS' ongoing efforts to strengthen community health outreach, promote women's health, and empower families through accessible medical services.
Additionally, a digital ABHA ID registration drive was conducted to facilitate easy access to healthcare records.
Screening for non-communicable diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, and cancer was carried out to promote early detection and preventive care.
An information desk for organ donor registration was also set up to raise awareness and encourage voluntary participation.
Furthermore, IEC materials were distributed to educate the community on various aspects of health and wellness.
The event aimed to strengthen public health outreach under the SNSPA while promoting the use of digital ABHA IDs, thereby ensuring seamless healthcare access and effective record management for the citizens of Manipur.
