Full Dress Rehearsals for 77th Republic Day held across State

As part of preparations for the 77th Republic Day celebrations, full dress rehearsals were conducted on Saturday across several districts of Manipur, including Kakching, Churachandpur, Jiribam and Kangpokpi, witnessing enthusiastic participation from security forces, students and cultural groups.
In Kakching, the District Administration held the rehearsal at the District Sports Association (DSA) Ground, Kakching Turel Wangma.
The parade was commanded by Ng Suresh Anthony (MPS), SDPO Sugnu, with contingents from BSF, Manipur Rifles/IRB, Civil Police, VDF, Traffic Police and ASHA workers taking part.
NCC cadets and students from various schools across the district also participated, while cultural troupes presented performances during the rehearsal.
Deputy Commissioner Uppuluri Chaitanya, will hoist the National flag and the salute on January 26 .
At Churachandpur, the full dress rehearsal was conducted at the Public Ground, Hiangtam Lamka, Churachandpur.
The parade was led by Ravi Gangwar, IPS, with a total of 31 contingents from BSF, CRPF, IRB, Civil Police, Ex-Servicemen, VDF, NCC units and various educational institutions participating.
Deputy Commissioner Dharun Kumar S, will be the chief guest on Republic Day and will unfurl the National flag, inspect contingents, address the gathering and later inspect departmental stalls, followed by cultural programmes and prize distribution.
In Jiribam, the rehearsal was held at the Jiribam Higher Secondary School playground in the presence of Deputy Commissioner Krishna Kumar, as chief guest.
The tricolour was unfurled, followed by inspection and salute of the marching contingents commanded by Jitendra Prasad Keer, IPS.
Twelve contingents from CRPF, ERB, District Police, VDF, NCC and schools participated.
The 38th Battalion Assam Rifles presented an impressive band display, while cultural items added vibrancy to the programme.
Meanwhile, in Kangpokpi, the rehearsal was held at the Brigadier Thomas Ground, reflecting a strong sense of preparedness and patriotic spirit.
The parade was commanded by Pavitra Goyal, IPS (probationer), with district administration officials and Kangpokpi police inspecting the guard of honour.
The parade contingents comprised personnel from CRPF, BSF, IRB, VDF, Ex-Servicemen, along with students from various schools and colleges.
Senior district officials, police officers, representatives of various departments and members of the public attended the rehearsals, which reflected the collective spirit and readiness of the districts for the Republic Day celebrations on January 23 .
