Weeklong IPM training programme concludes at KVK Bishnupur

Bishnupur, December 22 2025:
A weeklong training programme on Integrated Pest Management (IPM) for Sustainable Agriculture, organised under the ICAR-National Research Institute for Integrated Pest Management, NEH Component, concluded today at the training hall of KVK, Utlou, Bishnupur.
The training programme focused on various aspects of IPM, including pest management techniques, promotion of new IPM technologies, enhancement of farmers' income, and conservation of ecology.
A total of 40 selected farmers from three blocks of Bishnupur district took part in the programme.
In the concluding session, the Training Director cum Coordinator of the programme, Dr P Bijaya Devi, Subject Matter Specialist (SMS) of Horticulture, KVK Bishnupur, delivered talk on the 'Sustainable Vegetable Production for Higher Income', while Dr L Sophiya Devi, Senior Scientist, AICRP, CAU Imphal shared valuable inputs on 'Storage of Perishable Crops' with the participating farmers.
Later as part of the programme, knapsack sprayers, Neem Oil, Mustard Cake and Trichoderma were distributed to the farmers to encourage adoption of eco-friendly pest management practices.
