Imphal, August 17 2025: The 227th death anniversary of Rajarshi Bhagyachandra will be observed for six days in Titupati, Andhra Pradesh from September 27 to October 2, 2025 .

Spokesperson of Rajarshi Bhagyachandra Cultural Foundation (RBCFM), Takhellambam Irabot informed the above while addressing media persons during a press meet held today at the office of the Foundation at Sega Road Thouda Bhabok Leikai.

Takhellambam Irabot said that RBCFM, College Development Council, Manipur University, and Department of Sankirtana.

Manipur University of Culture will be jointly organising an international conference at Manipur University from September 24 to 25, 2025, in connection with the 227th death anniversary observation of Rajarshi Bhagyachandra.

He asserted that the conference on "Rajarshi Bhagyachandra and Shaping of Manipur's Cultural Horizons" will be organised in collaboration with Rajarshi Bhagyachandra Cultural Research Centre, Manipur University; Academy for Manipuri Culture & Arts, Sylhet, Bangladesh; Bharatiya Itihas Sankalan Samity, Manipur Prant; and Intellectual Forum North-East, Manipur, India.

He shared that the conference will be attended by Manipuri diaspora from across the globe and feature discussions & paper presentations by experts and research scholars.

Takhelleambam Irabot further asserted that the 227th death anniversary observation of Rajarshi Bhagyachandra will conclude with a closing function in Manipur on October 7, 2025 .
