Shija Hospitals celebrates National Surgeons' Day

Imphal, June 15 2025: Shija Hospitals & Research Institute Pvt Ltd in collaboration with Association of Surgeons of India (ASI), Manipur State Chapter, and Indian Medical Association (IMA) Manipur Branch, celebrated National Surgeons ' Day to highlight the critical role surgeons play in healthcare.

As part of the observance, Shija Hospitals in collaboration with ASI, Manipur State Chapter, organised a voluntary blood donation camp at Shija Blood Center & Transfusion Services on Saturday.

A total of 33 individuals donated blood, supporting critical medical needs and aiding surgical procedures in the community, said a release issued by Shija Hospitals.

Shija Hospitals also provided free surgeries, including laparoscopic cholecystectomies, celebrating the dedication of their surgeons.

These initiatives reflected the hospital's commitment to accessible, high-quality healthcare.

At the event, Dr Palin Khundongbam, Chairman and Managing Director, Shija Hospitals, expressed gratitude to donors, surgeons, and staff for their contributions.

"National Surgeons' Day celebrates our surgical teams' selfless service and reinforces our mission to enhance community health", he added.
