Imphal, September 11 2026: Security forces arrested cadres of different underground groups for their alleged involvement in extortion and criminal activities in the last 24 hours.

According to a police bulletin, a S/S private of Koireng led UNLF identified as Khundongbam Motilal alias Khongul (26) of Heirok Part-III was arrested from Lamding Khumanthem Leikai in Thoubal district today.

It further said that an active cadre of KYKL identified as Khwairakpam Rameshwar (43) of Kumbi Ward no 2 was arrested from Ithai-Kumbi.

An active cadre of RPF/PLA identified as Moirangthem Sanathoi alias Marukhoi (19) of Nongada Makha Leikai was also arrested from Khabeisoi yesterday, the police added.

Another cadre of Koireng led UNLF identified as Asem Nongpoknganba Meitei (32) alias Ngangoiba was arrested from Langdum area under Irilbung police station yesterday.
