Kamjong, July 11 2025:
Denouncing the "unjust demand" for the transfer of Kamjong Deputy Commissioner, the Committee on National Highway No 102A Affected Villages Under Kasom Khullen Sub-Division has appealed for the NH-102A Shangshak-Tengnoupal road project to move forward without any delay.
Notably, the All Private Land Owners Association (APLOA) JAC under package 1 of NH102A Shangshak-Tengnoupal had called for the transfer of the Kamjong DC who is in charge of overseeing the aforementioned road project.
A public statement issued by Vareso Ningshen, secretary of the Committee rejected APLOA JAC's demand for the Kamjong DC's transfer terming it as a "politically motivated and baseless call" .
Saying that the Kamjong DC has discharged his duties with transparency, lawful authority and active engagement with stakeholders, the Committee urged the official to ensure that the NH-102A Shangshak-Tengnoupal road project remains on track and is not hindered by any delay or inefficiency within the office of CALA (Competent Authority of Land Acquisition).
The Committee also endorsed the recent statement issued by the Committee on NH-102A Affected Villages Under Phungyar Block which allegedly exposed that APLOA JAC "lacks genuine support from actual land owners and is pursuing a disruptive agenda" .
Further, it urged the Government of Manipur to stand firm behind officials, reject politically motivated demands and hold accountable anyone who attempts to sabotage the crucial infrastructure project.
