JNIMS hosts CME on "Breast Pathology"

The Department of Pathology at the Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) successfully conducted a Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme today titled "Breast Pathology: Basis and Update" .
The event, held at the JNIMS Hospital Conference Hall, aimed to provide medical professionals with the latest advancements in breast disease diagnosis.
The programme was graced by dignitaries, including Somorjit Salam, Director of JNIMS; Dr Kh Lokeshwar Singh, Medical Superintendent of JNIMS; and Dr L Sushila Devi.
The CME centered on the fundamental principles and recent updates in breast pathology, emphasizing the integration of morphology and molecular insights for accurate diagnosis.
During the session, Dr L Sushila highlighted that such academic activities are crucial for medical professionals to stay aligned with National Medical Commission (NMC) guidelines.
She noted that breast pathology is a rapidly evolving field, and staying updated on new diagnostic categories and biomarkers is essential for improving patient management and prognosis.
The programme saw active participation from faculty members, senior residents, and post-graduate students, all of whom engaged in discussions regarding the latest diagnostic challenges and technological innovations in the field.
