Marathon race marks Nasha Mukt campaign in Tamenglong

Tamenglong, March 01 2025:
In a bid to promote the Nasha Mukt Bharat campaign, a mini marathon race was organised by the Tamenglong district administration in collaboration with the District Social Welfare Department on Saturday.
The mini marathon race, flagged off by additional SP Josiah T Pamei from Haipou Jadonang park, culminated at the starting point after covering 5th Manipur Rifles gate.
Around 300 runners participated in the race showcasing a strong community spirit and commitment to the objectives of Nasha Mukt Bharat campaign.

In the women's category, Lujai Panmei from Duiluan claimed victory with TP Nji-angailiu from Merrylane and Phianridinliu Gangmei from Chingkhiuluang finishing in second and third places respectively.
In the men's category, Namguabe Pame from Nzingning emerged as the winner while Pourimyibe Pame from Phoklong and Gaiguigong Gangmei from Kahulong secured second and third places respectively.
All winners were awarded medals, certificates and cash prizes in for their outstanding performances.
The event was also attended by SP Tamenglong Lanmiyo Luikham and SDC Tamenglong Savio Daimai.
Other dignitaries present included Paul Nangsha (MCS), CMO Tamenglong Dr G Majachunglu, PA to DC Eleazer Kaongam, deputy CO of 5 MR Letlen Seikho and deputy CO CRPF Santosh PT .
