CAU Imphal students participate in National Agricultural Students' Sammelan

Students and faculty members of the Central Agricultural University (CAU) Imphal virtually participated in the National Agricultural Students' Sammelan held at C Subramaniam Auditorium, NASC Complex, New Delhi today.
Organised by the Agricultural Education Division, ICAR, New Delhi, the event brought together students from agricultural universities and research institutes across the country.
During the sammelan, students shared their experiences, ideas, and suggestions to help shape the future of India's agriculture.
Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Rural Development, Govt of India, attended the event as the chief guest.
In his address, he encouraged students to pursue innovative and sustainable solutions in agriculture, emphasizing India's vision to become the "food basket of the world" through global competitiveness and climate-resilient practices.
The Dean, faculties, scientists, and students of the College of Agriculture, CAU, Imphal and College of Food Technology, CAU, Lamphelpat joined the sammelan virtually.
Prof Ngaseppam Iboyaima, Dean, College of Food Technology, CAU, Lamphelpat, said "The sammelan provided a platform for students to discuss emerging trends and technologies relevant to the agricultural sector".
Prof Ng Joykumar, Academic-in-Charge, College of Food Technology, CAU, Lamphelpat, said, "The sammelan provided a platform for students to share experiences, ideas, and suggestions, shaping the future of India's Agriculture.
By fostering dialogue, collaboration, and innovation, the event aligned with the Government's vision for India's agricultural development".
The Sammelan aimed at inspiring and engaging students, including undergraduate, postgraduate, and research scholars to contribute to the future of India's agriculture.
