Thoubal, January 22 2026: A public meeting was convened on Wednesday evening at Heirok Part-II Bazar by the Heirok Part-II Development Committee to discuss issues concerning local development and civic amenities.

The meeting was attended by Kh Maniyaima Singh; Nungsisana Leima, chairperson, Heirok Municipal Council; N Dilip Singh, councillor; Kh Santa Singh, former councillor; and Yaima Singh, among others, who were present as presidium members.

During the meeting the gathering unanimously adopted four resolutions aimed at improving facilities at Heirok Bazar.

The resolutions included making concerted efforts to ensure adequate water supply in the bazar area, maintaining public toilets, improving proper lighting and organising social service programmes to promote cleanliness and hygiene at Heirok Bazar.

The meeting further resolved to hold discussions with officials of the Municipal Council and representatives of local clubs to strengthen and expand the Committee.

It also unanimously resolved to elect Th Suninda Singh as the convenor of the committee.
