Protest rally staged over brutal murder of Abdul Kadir

Thoubal, June 19 2025: Locals of Lilong area took out a massive rally today at Lilong demanding swift arrest of those culprits involved in the brutal murder of Chesam Abdul Kadir.

Organised by the ANJUMAN Islah e Mushrah, Lilong in collaboration with United Meitei Pangal Committee, Manipur (UMPC), the mass rally commenced from Lilong Dam and passed through Usoipokpi before culminating at the starting point.

During the rally, placards with inscriptions like "We condemn terrorist act of Arambai Tenggol," "Hand over Abdul Kadir case to CBI or NIA", "Arambai Tenggol should be declared as terrorist organisation", "Arrest Arambai Tenggol member Khaba immediately", were used and similar slogans were also raised by the protesters.

Speaking at the sideline of the protest, ANJUMAN Lilong, general secretary Habibulah said that Chesam Qadir was a specially-abled person.

The brutal assault of a specially-abled person and burying someone after assault is a very inhumane act and condemned at the strongest term by the ANJUMAN Lilong and United Meitei Pangal Committee, said Habibulah.

Demanding immediate arrest and stringent punishment of Longjam Khaba who is allegedly involved in the killing, Habibulah called for immediate closure of AT Unit 27 .
