National Seminar, Workshop conducted

District ICDS Cell, Imphal West under the aegis of the Social Welfare Department, Government of Manipur organised a 1-day workshop on "Smart Nutrition, Strong Generations" at Gandhi Memorial Hall, Imphal today.
The workshop was conducted as part of the month-long observance of 8th Rashtriya Poshan Maah, 2025 under Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0 .
The workshop was graced Social Welfare Department's Director Anna Arambam and Joint Director Anjali Chongtham as presidium members.
In the workshop, Dr RK Rupabati Devi, Associate Professor, Department of Paediatrics, JNIMS gave a presentation on the topic "From Malnutrition to Obesity: Guiding Caregivers to Address Today's Child Health and Nutrition Challenges" and Dr Kshetrimayum Bimolata Devi, Assistant Professor, Department of Home Science, GP Women's College spoke on "Blending Traditional Wisdom with Modem Nutritional Practices: Busting Myths and Promoting Healthy Diets, with Special Focus on Pregnant Women, Lactating Mothers, and Adolescent Girls" .
Dr Yumnam Prabhabati Devi, Sr Scientist and Head, KVK, Imphal East also elaborated on "From Tiffin to Thali: Healthy Food Choices with Less Sugar and Less Oil for Infants, Young Children, and Beyond" .
Moreover, a 2-day national seminar on "Manipur Through The Ages: Society, Economy, Culture and Beyond" began today at the Department of History, Manipur University, Canchipur.
The seminar was jointly organised by the Department of History, Manipur University; Maharaja Bodhchandra College, YK College and Thokchom Ibotombi Institute of Teacher Education & Training.
The inaugural function was graced by dignitaries, including Prof Naorem Lokendra Singh, Vice Chancellor, Manipur University; Prof Chungmeijai Mathew MK, Head, Department of History, Manipur University; and Prof Memcha Loitongbam, Dean, School of Social Sciences, Manipur University.
