21-day certificate course / workshop on "Natural Farming" concludes at Bishnupur

Moirang, March 31 2026: The valedictory function of the 21-day Certificate Course-cum-Workshop on Natural Farming was held at Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Bishnupur, Utlou, marking the successful completion of an intensive training programme aimed at promoting sustainable and chemical-free farmingagri-cultural practices.

The programme was attended by Padma Shri Th Chaoba Singh, former Union Minister and Chairman of KVK Bishnupur, who presided over the function and Er Ch Sharat Singh, Joint Director of MASTEC, Government of Manipur, as chief guest.

Dr VY Deoghare, Regional Director, RCONF, Imphal, delivered the keynote address, Dr Praveen Vootla, Jr Scientific Officer delivered the closing remarks, while Dr Kh Brajamani Meetei, Sr Scientist & Head, KVK Bishnupur, welcomed the gathering and presented a brief report on the training activities Conducted during the 21-day programme.

The workshop covered various aspects of Natural Farming, including indigenous practices, soil health management, preparation of bio-inputs, and sustainable crop production techniques.

Participants actively engaged in both practical and theoretical sessions throughout the duration of the course.

As part of the valedictory session, a video presentation showcasing highlights of the training was presented, followed by sharing of experiences by the trainees.

The dignitaries appreciated the efforts of RCONF Imphal and KVK Bishnupur in promoting Natural Farming and emphasized the need for wider adoption of such practices for environmental sustainability and farmers' welfare.

Certificates were distributed to all participants, recognizing their successful completion of the course.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Kishor Shedge, Assistant Director, RCONF, Imphal, who expressed gratitude to all dignitaries, participants, and organizing team members for their support and contribution towards the success' of the programme.
