Bishnupur, February 28 2024: A one-day integrated communication and outreach programme (ICOP) on Systematic Voter's Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) was organised at Mangolnganbi College, Ningthoukhong in Bishnupur district today.

Kh Nolini Devi, Head of Department of Economics; L Guni Devi, Head of Department of Political Science and Asem Chanu Vellorpati, Head of Department of Botany of the college attended as the presidium members, said a press release by the Central Bureau of Communication, Regional Office (CBC,RO) Imphal.

Speaking as the resource person, L Guni Devi enlightened the first time voters on the role of presiding officer of a polling booth in an election.

Discussions on Ethical voting, EVM and Voter Verified Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) were also held during the programme.

As a part of the programme, an on-the-spot quiz contest was held and prizes along with certificates were handed over to the winners.

Certificate of participation was also distributed to the attendees.
