With the coming of the Congress led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) in power at the Centre, financial woes of State Govt have improved considerably enabling the State Govt to undertake various developmental programmes which had been stalled during the regime of the BJP at the Centre, asserted Congress MLA Budhichandra.
Speaking at the one day dist level political training camp organised by Imphal West-I District Congress Committee (I) at the Lamshang Community Hall today, Congress MLA Budhichandra said that financial conditions of the State have improved considerably ever since the Congress party came to power at both the Center and in the State.
Informing that State Govt has already taken up necessary process for utilising the Rs 2777.68 crores which was given as economic package during the Prime Minister's visit to the State a few months back, MLA Brajabidhu said that Govt has also begun deliberations for providing self employment to about 3000 educated youth under the special employment generation programme.
