Imphal, July 15 2012:
The Tata Sumo and Van Welfare Association, Kakching has asserted that the agitation of blocking vehicles at Kakching Lamkhai on July 13 to protest the burning down of two vehicles along with the goods carried in the vehicles near Bongyang by armed miscreants on July 11 last will continue.
In a statement the association said the stir will continue until the Government provides compensation to the vehicle owners and provides adequate security to the transporters.
Meanwhile the UNC has come out against the damages inflicted on vehicles belonging to Nagas at Kakching Lamkhai, reports NNN.
Extending their solidarity to the owners and passengers of the two Imphalk bound vehicles which were burnt down by armed persons on July 11 between Bongyang and Tamnapokpi, UNC however said that blaming the Nagas in Chandel for the arson is communal and provocative.
