Imphal, July 30 2026: The 24-hour bandh called by candidates who had appeared in the 2019 MSPDCL/MSPCL recruitment exam-ination has been postponed.

The proposed bandh, scheduled to begin from July 31 midnight, has been postponed and it will begin from midnight of August 4, said the candidates in a press meet at MEELAL's office today.

The bandh has been postponed so that it doesn't disturb MEELAL's Meetei Mayek written examination scheduled to be held on July 31, said the candidates.

Notably, the candidates have been staging protest demonstrations demanding the MSPDCL/MSPCL to declare the results of the recruitment examination held in 2019 .

MEELAL general secretary Paonam Thakaba, who was present at the press meet, appreciated the candidates for their understanding and postponing the bandh.
