Torch rally staged

Thoubal, May 29 2025: Wangjing Khunou Meira Paibi, Young Star Social Club (YDSC) and Wangjing Khunou Club organised a torch rally from Wangjing Khunou to Pangantabi yesterday night in protest against "India's policy to obliterate Manipur" .

The protest march was taken out under the combined supervision of All Manipur United Clubs' Organisation (AMUCO), Poirei Leimarol Meira Paibi Apunba Manipur, All Manipur Women's Voluntary Association (AMAWOVA), Committee on Human Rights (COHR) and Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF) and Khunnai Kanba Apunba Meira Paibi 2 (KHUKAMPAL 2) .

Strongly condemning India's alleged policy to obliterate Manipur, a participating meira paibi leader said that the Gwaltabi incident is clear evidence of this claim.

The erasure of Manipur from the MST bus sought to cause discord and enmity among the communities living in Manipur and harm Manipur's united front, she added.

Accusing the Indian Government of scheming to keep the Manipuri people under prolonged subjugation, she maintained that it is time for the public to be aware of such nefarious designs.

Coexisting in harmony, facing all obstacles collectively and marching towards development in unison is the only way forward for all communities, said the protester.
