TYCM shows support for Senapati youths

Imphal, October 26 2025: The Tribal Youth Council Manipur (TYCM), Council Headquarters, today said it fully supports the Youth Raise for Change, Senapati (YRCS) in their efforts to seek justice for the irregularities in the implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) .

The right to drinking water and the right to life are basic and fundamental rights guaranteed by the Constitution of India.

The concerned authorities of the Government of Manipur and the Union Government must be held accountable for the irregularities in the implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission.

The Government of Manipur and the Union Government should take appropriate legal action against erring officials, departments, and agencies, it said in a statement The TYCM, further, stressed that it will start observing the implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) and projects undertaken under the New Development Bank (NDB) in the hill districts of Manipur to verify whether the projects are being properly executed.

It is time for all tribal youths to be awakened and actively participate in shaping a better future for the tribal communities and the people of the State, it added.
