CPO Devesh Deval reviews Aspirational District Programme in Chandel

Chandel, October 25 2025: As part of the NITI Aayog's Aspirational District Programme (ADP), the Central Prabhari Officer of ADP Chandel, Devesh Deval, who also serves as Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India, held a review meeting at the Conference Hall of the DC Office, Chandel, on Saturday.

The meeting aimed to assess the developmental activities undertaken as part of the ADP in the district.

The review meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner of Chandel Laishram Nandakumar, ADC Chandel Md Firoz Khan, SDO Chakpikarong; SDO Khengjoy, DIO Longjam Joseph, and various District Level Officers (DLOs) of Chandel district.

During the session, DC Laishram Nandakumar highlighted the key developmental initiatives being implemented across the district and presented a slideshow showcasing progress in different sectors.

In his address, Joint Secretary Devesh Deval emphasized that the overall progress of the district largely depends on the dedication and commitment of district officers.

He urged all DLOs to continue working sincerely to uplift the district and bring about positive transformation in line with the objectives of the Aspirational District Programme.

He further noted that Chandel, with its diverse communities and unique challenges, must strive to enhance its competitiveness and development outcomes to match other progressive districts in the state.

Following the review meeting, Devesh Deval visited and inspected various project sites in Chandel, including the District Hospital Chandel, to monitor on-ground progress and assess ongoing initiatives under the ADP .
