Bishnupur, July 22 2024: A 30-day training programme on various topics related to integrated farming kicked off today at Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Institute of Agricultural Sciences (PDDUIAS) Utlou in Bishnupur district.

The training programme is being organised by the Department of Agriculture, Govt of Manipur in collaboration with PDDUIAS under Rainfed Area Development Program (RADP) for the youths of the State and students of the institute.

The inaugural programme was graced by Director of PDDUIAS, Professor RK Imotomba Singh and Nodal Officer of RADP Nisha Ningthoujam as the presidium members.

Dr Chongtham Baru, Associate Professor of PDDUIAS and Nongmaithem Anand, Associate Professor of Manipur Technical University spoke as resource persons and gave valuable insights on topics related to the training programme.

Farmers, staff and students of the institute are participating in the programme.
