Khemchand to visit Ukhrul today

Ukhrul, April 16 2026: After visiting Jiribam and Khemchand, all by road, Chief Minister Y Khemchand will visit Ukhrul tomorrow (April 17) for a public interaction and inauguration of a new project.

According to sources, the Chief Minister's team will depart Imphal early morning and will travel to Ukhrul by road.

The CM's entourage will have a brief halt at Ramva for inspection of the ongoing construction National Highway project.

The team will then proceed to the Mini Secretariat, Ukhrul for interaction with public leaders of Tangkhul community and district level officers including the DC, the SP and other DLOs at the DRDA conference hall.

After the interaction programme, the CM will inspect the ongoing construction of rigid pavement at Ukhrul.

Later, the CM will pay a visit to Shirui village for inauguration of a new project, namely Shirui Heritage project.

Khemchand and his team will leave Ukhrul after lunch at Shirui village.
