Kakching, October 15 2025: A one-day targeted intervention programme on "Stress Management and Suicide Prevention for Police Personnel" was held yesterday at Sugnu Mamang Leikai Community Hall for the benefit of Kakching District Police personnel.

The programme was organised by the District Mental Health Programme (DMHP) Kakching in collaboration with District Health Society (DHS) Kakching and District Police Kakching.

The event was graced by Dr Thaodem Rajen, Chief Medical Officer and District Mission Director, National Health Mission Kakching: Ngangbam Anthony Suresh (MPS), SDPO Sugnu; Md Riaj Khan, OC, Sugnu Police Station; E Subhashchandra, Subedar, CDO Sugnu; L Bedrajit, Deputy SP (Ops) Kakching; Dr Khangembam Gopeshwar, District Nodal Officer, District Mental Health Programme Kakching.

A total of 100 VDF and police personnel from Sugnu Sub-Division, Kakching district attended the programme.

At the event, Dr Moirangthem Sushilkumar, Psychiatric Social Worker, District Mental Health Programme Kakching delivered the keynote address while Dr Khangembam Gopeshwar, District Nodal Officer, District Mental Health Programme Kakching spoke as the resource person.
