PWA Manipur holds award ceremony

Imphal, September 13 2026: As part of the Golden Jubilee celebration of the Progressive Writers' Association, Manipur, which began on September 13, 2025, an award presentation ceremony was held today.

A two-day Hijam Irabot Memorial Anniversary and Poetry Reading Session also began today.

The function was held at Irabot Bhavan, Rupmahal Tank.

Convenor of Manipuri Advisory Board, Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi, Prof Rajen Toijamba, Progressive Writers' Association, Manipur advisor Langol Iboyaima, former Director of Agriculture, Government of Manipur, RK Noyonsana Devi, and Ibosana Khuman of Progressive Writers' Association, Manipur, attended as chief guest, guests of honour and president respectively.

Dr Nando Ningomba spoke on "Irabot and his literary contribution".

Five persons were also honoured with awards at the function.
