Forum for Research Upliftment, Manipur constituted

Imphal, July 13 2025: A committee called the Forum for Research Upliftment, Manipur (FORUM) has been formed to carry out research on 'academic oriented approach'.

A simple function was held today at the seminar hall of the Chemistry Department, Manipur University, Canchipur to announce the formation of the committee.

The function was graced by dignitaries, including Prof RK Hemakumar Singh, Chemistry Department, Manipur University; Prof Kh Kumarchand, Statistics Department, Manipur University; Paonam Labango Mangang, editor, Kangla Pao; and Ningombam Angothoiba Meitei, secretary, All Manipur Bar Association (AMBA) .

Delivering the keynote address, FORUM secretary Dr Mayanglambam Dayaman said that the committee was formed by like-minded research scholars and teachers of different colleges and universities.

He mentioned that the FORUM will carry out extensive research on various topics related to the history, culture, tradition, social ethics, civilization, politics, etc of the State.

"The research findings will be documented and archived for future use", said Dr Dayaman while adding that the initiative will ensure the knowledge gained from the research is preserved, accessible, and can be built upon by other researchers and generations to come.

Introduction & felicitation of office bearers and life members of FORUM were the main highlights of the event.
