MAYOL bats for conscientious voting

Imphal, September 11 2026: The Manipur Youth League (MAYOL) has categorically stated that the many challenges and issues plaguing Manipur over the years can be addressed effectively only by giving due importance to electoral politics, conscientious voting and election of capable and competent representatives.

Speaking to media persons at their office at Purei- romba Khongnang-khong, Konung Mamang today, MAYOL president Koijam Suresh said that the MAYOL has been undertaking a political consciousness campaign at the grassroots level since 2024 .

He called upon all concerned to see that qualified and honest candidates are elected in the Manipur University Students' Union (MUSU) election likely to be held on September 28 .

He also emphasised the need to make the election to MUSU 2026-26 free and fair.

Suresh said that the students of Manipur University must take pro-active roles in bringing revolutionary changes and saving Manipur.

The students need to march ahead with a clear conscience and commitment to protect Manipur.

The election to MUSU is the first test of this journey.

Suresh also called upon students of Manipur University to make sure that the MAYOL's campaign on "Vote for National Regeneration" is reflected in the upcoming MUSU election.

He appealed to all the candidates not to spend too much money in the election.

He further appealed to all students and candidates not to ask for or provide intoxicating substances during the election.
